At least 25 people died after a bus carrying a wedding party of more than 45 fell into a 500-metre-deep gorge in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, police said on October 5, 2022. About 20 passengers were rescued in an overnight operation and at least 2 are in critical condition.
