Blessed Ministry Community Church, or BMCC, is one of the few churches in Hong Kong led by LGBTQ pastors. Most of its members are from sexual minority groups who feel unaccepted by mainstream churches in the city. Among those attending BMCC are Chris Cheng and Alan Hau, a gay couple who met at the church. The pair said they hope to help build a sanctuary for those who feel hurt or rejected because of their sexuality or faith beliefs.
